We exist to connect climate action, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, education, research and policy engagement — in ways that improve lives while protecting the planet.

Our origins

From witnessing loss to building community-led solutions.

TGDA was officially registered on 3 June 2022 after a deeply personal journey shaped by coastal erosion, flooding and climate-induced displacement in Ghanaian communities.

Those lived experiences revealed that environmental challenges are never isolated. They affect livelihoods, education, public health, food security and economic opportunity all at once.

The Green Dialogue Africa was founded to bridge environmental advocacy, research, policy and community action — so that meaningful conversations become practical, measurable change.

Leadership

Ruth Eyi Adzo Dzokoto Founder & Executive Director

Ruth founded The Green Dialogue Africa after witnessing how coastal erosion, flooding and displacement shaped everyday life in Ghanaian communities. Her work bridges environmental health, public health, biodiversity conservation and climate policy with practical community action.

Under her leadership, TGDA has built an early portfolio spanning climate-smart agriculture, public advocacy, environmental education, zero-waste awareness, disaster documentation and community resilience.
