Our programmes

Flagship programmes that work better together.

The Green Dialogue Africa runs five interconnected programmes. Each stands on its own — yet together they form one ecosystem that turns dialogue into resilient livelihoods, education and lasting climate action.

One ecosystem

What these programmes are designed to do.

Five programmes, one shared purpose — building resilient people, healthy ecosystems and sustainable communities.

CSFF · Agriculture & Livelihoods

Building resilient food systems from the ground up.

“Sustainable today. Resilient tomorrow.”

Supports farming communities in adapting to climate change through sustainable agriculture, improved productivity and resilient food systems — currently piloting in Bronikrom, Ghana with 350+ farmers.

In focus: We want climate information to become practical knowledge farmers can use immediately in the field.

Focus areas: Climate-smart agriculture · Water & soil · Farmer training · Sustainable livelihoods · Community resilience

VSLP · Financial Empowerment

Strengthening resilience through community finance.

“Save to empower. Empower to transform.”

Empowers women, youth and rural households through community savings groups, financial literacy and entrepreneurship support — building a culture of saving and financial discipline.

In focus: When communities save together, they build more than money. They build trust, discipline and resilience.

Focus areas: Save together · Access credit · Grow businesses · Build resilience · Empower communities

GDS · Platform & Advocacy

Turning dialogue into practical action.

“Conversations that drive change.”

Creates inclusive spaces where communities, policymakers, researchers and partners come together to discuss challenges and co-create solutions — from community stories to national policy.

In focus: Dialogue matters because people are more likely to act when they understand the issue and see where they belong in it.

Focus areas: Public dialogues · Climate campaigns · Podcasts & webinars · School outreach · Media engagement

Investing in talent, ambition and future leadership.

“Educate. Empower. Elevate.”

Our flagship programme invests in education, mentorship, leadership development and opportunity for young people and vulnerable groups — with a particular focus on women and girls.

In focus: Support changes lives best when it helps people grow in confidence, skill and direction, not only in the moment.

Focus areas: Education access · Youth leadership · Women empowerment · Mentorship & growth

SFM · Fisheries & Coastal Resilience

Protecting our waters, restoring our coasts.

“Protecting our waters. Restoring our coasts. Sustaining our livelihoods.”

Promotes healthy aquatic ecosystems, resilient coastal communities and sustainable blue-economy opportunities — working with fishing communities, women fish processors, youth, government agencies and conservation partners.

In focus: early work includes the Akosombo Dam impact assessment, the Let’s Do It Ghana partnership and the Pamparam community clean-up.

Focus areas: Sustainable fisheries · Mangrove restoration · Coastal conservation · Blue economy · Marine research
